Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications/Utilities.
Create an Aggregate Device by clicking on the bottom left “+” button.
Select your main soundcard + any other audio device you’ll be using during the session + BlackHole 2ch (we recommend checking “drift” for all sound sources except the one used as a masterclock).
In this example, the main soundcard is Lynx Aurora(n), then you have BlackHole 2ch and a webcam microphone (c920) in case you’ll use that mic added to the Aggregate Device.
<aside> 💡 For the sample rate, it depends on your DAW settings, if you’re used to work at 44.1khz or 48khz or higher. It’s recommended to have the same sample rate here and in OBS (go to Settings > Audio).

Plug the master output of your analog mixer back into any available soundcard input (for instance Input 1-2).
Plug your mic into any available channel on your mixer (put on headphones to avoid a feedback loop with the speakers).
Open your DAW and in the preferences, select the Aggregate Device as your Audio Input and Output Devices.
Note the Stereo Output corresponding to BlackHole 2ch by checking the Agreggate Device in Audio Midi Setup. In this case it’s Stereo Output 25/26 (see the colors). We recommend renaming the output corresponding to BlackHole 2ch in your DAW if you can. In Ableton Live, you can do that by opening Output Config in Audio Preferences.
In the Audio Midi Setup utility you can see BlackHole 2ch corresponds to output channels 25/26.
So you can rename Stereo Output 25/26 as BlackHole.
In your DAW session, create a new track, let’s name it the Mixer Mix:
Select the audio input in which you sent the mixer master output (in this example we plugged the Master of our mixer into Soundcard Input 1-2).
Select the output corresponing to BlackHole 2ch.
Activate “monitoring”. Your analog mixer audio will go to OBS through this track.
Now you can monitor your mix and mic through your mixer as usual while the master output from your mixer is sent to OBS via this Mixer Mix track and BlackHole.
